2021 Workshop on Algorithm and Big Data

The spring edition, 2021 Workshop on Algorithm and Big Data, will be held on March. 12 to 14 in Fuzhou. The concept of an algorithm and algorithmic thinking are not only for software system, but also relevant to all sciences and fields of human endeavour. And in the era of data, challenges and opportunities brought by big data are outstanding.

The workshop will provide the platform for researchers and practitioners to discuss on Algorithm and Big Data. Meanwhile, the authors of accepted submissions are invited to present their works. The best presenters will be awarded.

Prof. Abdelhalim Zekry

Abdelhalim Zekry is a professor of electronics at faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He worked as a staff member on several universities. He published more than 300 papers. He also supervised more than 110 Master thesis and 40 Doctorate . Prof. Zekry focuses his research programs on the field of microelectronics and electronic applications including communications and photovoltaics. He got several prizes for his outstanding research and teaching performance.

Dr. Anand Nayyar received Ph.D (Computer Science) from Desh Bhagat University in 2017 in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks and Swarm Intelligence. He is currently working in Graduate School, Duy Tan University, Da Nang, Vietnam. A Certified Professional with 75+ Professional certificates from CISCO, Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Beingcert, EXIN, GAQM, Cyberoam and many more. Published more than 450 Research Papers in various National & International Conferences, International Journals (Scopus/SCI/SCIE/SSCI Indexed) with High Impact Factor. Member of more than 50+ Associations as Senior and Life Member and also acting as ACM Distinguished Speaker. He has authored/co-authored cum Edited 25+   Books of Computer Science.

Wang Xingyuan, second-level professor of computer science, School of Information Science and Technology, Dalian Maritime University, doctoral supervisor, Liaoning distinguished professor, American Mathematical Reviews commentator, outstanding scientific and technological workers in Liaoning Province, outstanding scientific and technological talents in universities of Liaoning Province, the fifth and sixth group of outstanding experts in Dalian, deputy director of the Chaotic Secure Communication Professional Committee of the Chinese Cryptography Society, and deputy director of the Chaotic and Nonlinear Circuit Professional Committee of the Circuit and System Branch of the Chinese Institute of Electronics. I have published more than 510 journal articles in SCI indexed journals such as Nature’s series, and SCI has cited more than 11,000 times, of which 8 representative papers have been cited by SCI for 200 times, and the total number is more than 2,100. The highest SCI citation for a single article is 371. 2 ESI hot papers and 18 ESI highly cited papers. The H index of Web of Science is 58. I was selected as one of the world’s highly cited scientists in 2018 and Elsevier China’s highly cited scholars in 2014-2019; 18 invention patents were authorized (7 in the United States, 2 in Japan and South Korea, Europe, Britain, France, and Germany, 1 each, 3 in China, all are the sole completers), 1 software copyright, of which 8 patents have achieved technology transfer. I won 1 first prize of Natural Science of Liaoning Province (the only person to complete), and 1 second prize of Natural Science of the Ministry of Education (the first person to complete); I have instructed 32 PhD graduates in total, and more than 10 people won the National Natural Science General/Youth Funded, 9 people were promoted to professors. The course I taught was awarded the 2013-2016 ‘Liaoning Province Graduate Excellent Courses’ twice in a row.

As one of the most important products of high-tech era, big data remains tremendous energy, which can be applicable in various fields with the help of development of algorithm. We welcome state-of-art discussions and findings home and abroad about the combination of big data and algorithm, to be presented in this workshop. The application of big data and the breakthrough of algorithm can provide abundant cases and new ideas for researchers and scholars in the field of not only computing and mathematics, but also medical science, geology and many other topics.

3. Peer-review--in about two months

4. Modify according to review result--in two weeks

5. Final decision


Requirements

1. In English and well typeset

2. 2500 words at least, with complete tables and figures

3. 10 references at least with no less than 3 foreign references

4. Plagiarism rate should be less than 15%

5. Confirm the author names, affiliations and sequence before submission
